Persona 5's world is set in modern-day Tokyo, with navigable real-world locations within the city including Akihabara, Shinjuku and Shibuya, but in a very stylish Atlus way, which along with its relaxing and jazzy soundtrack can be delightful even 80hs or 200hs later! 'One of the most amazing cares to detail in a video game is Persona 5's ability to take small details of real-life Japan and use it as inspiration to showcase Japan's beauty to millions of players around the world.' Yongen-Jaya is the fictional residential home city of the Persona 5 protagonist, Joker. I'll just let the images and sounds speak for this one, since maybe I feel like this since I've always felt really attached to the characters and the story, as A2 would say though its certainly nice to notice how despite hardship and the state of the world was yesterday, is today or will be tomorrow, the world can be really beautiful if we just take some time to appreciate it. NieR Automata has a post-apocalyptic setting (mixed with sci-fi, woohoo!) and its non-colorful gray'ish filtered environments might turn a lot of people off, some might even be wondering how in the heck its world can be considered beautiful at all, but trust me there's so much charm to its world design.

You can see some of them stopping to drink water from a lake, others. They even design an entire ecosystem, including many unique animations for some of the animals living in it's world. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 can often be misjudged as a terrible game only because of some of the character designs, but if there's something that is absolutely incredible about all of the Xenoblade games is how Monolith Soft crafts their worlds, makes them vast and how whatever we see in the distance, we can always visit, we can always explore. I'd honestly love to make this post an image heavy one with lots of references but considering it could certainly be a waste of bandwidth for many. It doesn't have to be recent or any specific genre, anything counts! I expect to go (along with everyone else that will post in this thread!) through a lovely nostalgia trip, while we might also discover some new universes to explore! Sometimes, hours can go by before the player snaps back to reality, and I'd love to get to know which games made you feel this way.
